Anyway, I made three Pinterest recipes and one of my own. They were all so good! I have created this blog to share wonderful recipes and crafts with feedback that you sometimes don't get on Pinterest.
On Saturday morning, I made homemade doughnuts and hot chocolate. Yum :)
My family has been making these doughnuts for at least ten years now and they never fail to satisfy your sweet tooth. The hot chocolate recipe I found on Pinterest and it is most definitely a keeper!
Doughnuts:
1. Turn on your deep fryer, or pot of oil so it gets warm. You do not want to to boil!! I usually put it on medium-high heat for about 8 minutes or so (You can pinch off a piece of the biscuit dough and drop it in to test the temperature The oil should bubble around the dough).
2. Place a generous layer of paper towels in a dish or on a pan so the oil can be soaked up.
3. Mix together sugar and cinnamon to dip the doughnuts in (I usually do this in a Tupperware container so I can put it in the fridge to save for the next time I make these).
4. Open a can of biscuits and punch a whole through the center with your thumb (you can buy Pillsbury biscuits, but I normally buy them at Aldi's - they are $0.49 a can there).
5. Plop the biscuit in the oil and then flip it to the other side once it turns golden brown. Take them out when they are golden brown on both sides.
6. Place on the paper towel and flip them so they are not super oily.
7. Place the doughnuts in the sugar mixture and flip them so that they get covered with the sugar.
8. Enjoy while they are still warm!
There are no measurements for this. My family usually buys two cans of biscuits (usually 10 biscuits per can, so two cans would give us 20 doughnuts) and a larger bottle of canola oil.
Polar Express Hot Chocolate:
1. In a large pot add:
1.5 cups of heavy cream
1-14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
2 cups of bittersweet chocolate chips
6 cups of milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2. Put on low heat and stir regularly for 30-40

On Sunday night I made garbage bread and pumpkin pie croissants. They were so good!
Garbage Bread:
1. Shred 3 boneless chicken tenders and pan fry them with olive oil and salt and pepper to taste.
2. Add 1/4 cup of wing sauce (like Frank's) and let it simmer for about a minute. Take off heat.
3. Preheat the oven to 425*F.
4. Open a can of croissant rolls and place on a greased cooking sheet (make sure you pinch together the edges and perforated lines).
5. Mix together about 1/4 cup of the wing sauce with 1/3 cup of either ranch or blue cheese dressing and spread on the dough.
6. Place the chicken on top and then about 8 oz of mozzarella cheese and 3 oz of cheddar cheese.
7. Place in the oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until crust is a darker golden brown.
8. Mix more dressing and hot sauce for dipping if you would like.
Pumpkin Pie Croissants:
1. Preheat the oven to 375*F
2. Take 1 can of crescent rolls and unroll them out. Cut each triangle in half, long-wise.
3. Mix together 2 oz of cream cheese (works best at around room temperature), 1/2 cup of canned pure pumpkin, 1 T pumpkin pie spice, and 1.5 T sugar.
4. Generously spread the mixture on the dough and roll up the croissants.
5. Roll in the leftover sugar and cinnamon mixture from the doughnuts and place on a greased baking sheet.
6. Bake for 13-15 minutes (you want them to be lightly browned with the dough baked in the middle)
7. Let sit for a few minutes and enjoy :)
*I cannot take credit for all of these wonderful recipes. Most are from Pinterest, and I just doctored them up a bit.
